Psychotherapy provides safe space to reevaluate priorities, slow down and find ease. I approach therapy with humor, warmness and analogy in helping clients see different perspectives. My approach is solution oriented while being eclectic, exploratory and expansive. Therapy is focused on establishing a full picture of client history, relationships and current levels of functioning. Then collaboratively a treatment plan is established to meet client goals.
I empower clients in learning new skills, exploring individual strengths and discovering creative life course solutions. My goal is to guide client’s towards exploring life’s many forms of joy and fulfillment while discovering creative and new ways to look at life. I provide clients an inclusive and identity affirming space where clients can learn new skills to overcome addictions, strengthen relationships, sleep better and feel happier.
In children, teen, adolescents and emerging adult clients, the focus is on understanding and navigating strong emotions and stressful situations. Guidance, skills, therapy and evaluation is facilitated to address concerning developmental changes and potentially challenging thoughts, emotions and behaviors (i.e. anxiety, depression, academic or social concerns, etc). The primary goal is to facilitate positive change in home and educational settings, improve adaptive coping skills and increase propensity for life course success.
